Google Business Profile Management Services
Google Business Profile management that fixes your phone number, hours, categories and service area so customers who find you on Google can reach you.
What this solves
For many local searches your Google Business Profile is the first thing a customer sees, before your website. If the phone number is wrong, the hours are out of date, or the service area is missing, a customer who was ready to call reaches the wrong place or gives up. We check the profile against your website and other listings, correct what is wrong, and keep it accurate, so the details that decide a call are right.
What we build
- A full check of your profile against your website and other listings
- Correct phone number, hours, categories and service area
- Photos, posts and Q&A so the profile looks active and trustworthy
- A profile that sends customers to the right call or booking path
How it works
- Profile checked against your other listings
- Wrong or missing details corrected
- Services and service area reviewed
- Call and booking path checked
- Updates scheduled
- Changes monitored
What Google Business Profile management covers
Google Business Profile management means someone keeps the listing that appears on Google Search and Maps for your business accurate and up to date. Google Business Profile optimization service is the same idea with a bigger word: fix what is wrong, fill in what is missing and keep it current. Neither one makes the phone ring by itself.
The reason to care is that many local searches end on the profile and never reach your website. A customer with a leak looks at the map, sees a number and calls. If that number, those hours or that service area are wrong, the call goes somewhere else.
Management is ongoing, not a one-off tidy-up. Hours change at holidays, phone systems change, and a service you added last spring may never have reached the profile. Someone needs to notice.
The details that decide a call
A short list of fields does most of the work. LYCORE checks each one against how your business actually runs today and corrects what is out of date.
The phone number matters most, and it should be the number that gets answered. If your calls go to a receptionist or a text back, the profile should point at the line that carries them.
Hours deserve extra care. Holiday hours are the ones most often left wrong, and they are the days customers are most likely to need you. If a receptionist answers after hours, say what a caller can expect so nobody expects a technician at the door.
- Phone number, checked against the number on your website
- Business hours, including holiday and after-hours notes
- Primary and additional categories that describe what you really do
- Service area, matching where you really work
- The website link and the booking or contact path
Making the profile match your website and other listings
Customers and search engines both compare your details across places. When your profile says one thing, your website another and a directory a third, people lose trust and Google has less reason to. A large part of the work is making these agree.
LYCORE checks the profile against your website and the other listings that show your business, lists the differences and corrects the ones within its reach. Some directories need the owner to approve a change, and some take time to update.
The business name matters too. It should match the name on your sign and your website, without extra keywords added. Stuffing keywords into a business name can break Google's guidelines and put the profile at risk.
Services, photos, posts and questions
Beyond the basics, a profile that looks alive earns more trust. That means services listed in plain words, real photos of your work and your team, regular posts and answers to the questions customers keep asking.
Photos should be yours. A picture of a real van, a real crew and a finished job says more than a stock image, and a customer can tell the difference.
Questions and answers are underused. If customers keep asking whether you take weekend calls or work in a certain area, answer once on the profile in your own words and save yourself the phone call.
How access works: you stay the owner
You add LYCORE as a manager on your Google Business Profile. You remain the owner, and you can remove that access at any time. LYCORE never asks for your Google password.
If you do not yet have a verified profile, or someone else set it up years ago and you cannot find who, sort that out first. Ownership problems are common and take longer than any edit.
Keep a short list of who has access, and review it whenever someone leaves your business. Managers can be added and removed. Your access for LYCORE can be removed by you at any time.
- You add LYCORE as a manager
- You stay the owner

What management cannot do
It cannot promise a ranking on Google Maps. Placement depends on many factors, including competition, distance and the profile's history, and nobody outside Google controls it. Accurate, complete and active information helps customers judge you and reach you, and that is the claim worth making.
It also cannot delete an honest bad review or force Google to merge a duplicate listing or lift a suspension. Those decisions belong to Google. Reviews are their own workflow, covered under reputation management.
What management can do is cut the avoidable losses: wrong numbers, old hours and missing service areas. Those are within reach, and they decide whether a ready customer can contact you.
How to measure profile results
The profile reports calls, website clicks and direction requests. Keep them separate, because a click is not a booking. Compare equivalent periods and check whether the calls that came from the profile were answered.
The last check matters most. If profile calls go to a phone nobody answers on a job, better information only sends more people to voicemail. That is why the profile, the phone and the website should be reviewed together.
Set a baseline before any changes: a few weeks of calls, website clicks and direction requests from the profile. After the changes, look at the same measures for an equivalent period and note holidays and season. Small numbers move around, so do not read too much into a single month.
- Calls from the profile
- Website clicks
- Direction requests
- Whether the calls were answered
What stays under your control
Your team keeps control of business rules, escalation decisions, approvals, customer data, and the tools it chooses to keep. LYCORE configures and documents the workflow around those rules.
What to expect
Google Business Profile management keeps hours, services and contact paths accurate and connects profile visits to the next customer action.
How to measure the work
These are measures to agree before launch, not published client results. Record the source, date range and sample size. Compare equivalent periods, separate automated activity from customer actions, and show unavailable data as unavailable rather than zero.
- Profile interactions
- Calls, website clicks and direction requests reported by the profile platform, with each measure kept separate. A click is not a completed appointment.
- Attributed inquiries
- Unique inquiries linked to profile traffic through available attribution data. Label inquiries with an unknown source separately.
Common Questions
What does the work actually change on my profile?
Phone number, hours, categories, service area and the links, corrected so they match your website and other listings. Photos, posts and answers to customer questions can be added or kept current. The details are agreed with you, and you approve anything that changes how customers reach you.
What do I need to give you to get started?
The name of the profile, the correct phone number and hours, the services and area you really cover, and permission to be added as a manager. You add LYCORE as a manager, and you stay the owner. No passwords are shared.
What if I have a duplicate or wrong listing for my business?
Duplicates are worth raising, but Google decides what gets merged or removed and neither you nor LYCORE can force it. The work starts by finding the duplicates and making sure the main profile is correct.
I work out of my home or travel to customers. Should my address show?
That is a choice for your business and Google's rules. Many service businesses use a service area instead of a public address. It is worth deciding before the profile is edited, and it is one of the questions covered at the start.
Can you remove a bad review?
No. Honest reviews cannot be removed, and reviews that break Google's policies are reviewed by Google, not by LYCORE. What helps is a consistent process for asking every customer for a review and for replying to the ones you get.
Is this different from getting more reviews?
Yes. Profile management keeps your details correct and complete. Reviews are a separate workflow, with their own rules about asking every customer and not filtering by sentiment.
Why does my Google Business Profile matter?
For many local searches it is the first thing a customer sees, before your website. A wrong phone number, old hours or a missing service area can send a ready customer to the wrong place or to a competitor.
Do you need my Google password?
No. You add LYCORE as a manager on your Google Business Profile, and you stay the owner. You can remove access at any time.
Will this get me to the top of Google Maps?
No one can promise placement. Accurate, complete and active profile information helps customers evaluate you and reach you, but rankings depend on many factors and LYCORE does not guarantee them.
Does LYCORE replace the software we already use?
No. LYCORE starts with the tools and operating rules your team already uses, then evaluates practical ways to connect the work around them.
Are outcomes guaranteed?
No. A system can improve the speed and consistency of a process, but LYCORE does not guarantee rankings, reply rates, booked appointments, revenue, or any other business outcome.
